Seafield and Strathspey Estates
For generations the Seafield family has had the privilege and responsibility of managing the land and the numerous businesses and enterprises which come under the banner of Seafield and Strathspey Estates.
The Estates are located in two areas in the north of Scotland: the lowland Banffshire area around Cullen on the Moray Firth, and at Strathspey, in the upper reaches of the Spey valley. In total the Estates extend to over 84,000 acres (34,000 hectares).
Within the Estates there are a number of trading concerns with different activities and responsibilities. These include:
Seafield Estate – lets arable farms and other property and provides the management for all the related family businesses.
Reidhaven Estate – involved in forestry, sporting and let land, and trading as Strathspey Estate – offers a range of country sports and accommodation – visit website
Old Cullen Farms – an agricultural farming business
Seafield Rural – manages commercial woodlands
Reidhaven Farms – specialise in growing cereal crops
Ogilvie-Grant Estate – operates forestry and letting of agricultural land
Seafield Heirs 2009 Trust – a small farming business
Dava Enterprises Ltd – provides a small industrial site
The history of Seafield and Strathspey Estates shows they have made a significant contribution to rural land use and this positive management continues today.
