ESTATE MANAGEMENT

The need to manage our land in a manner that is mindful of nature and the wellbeing of the wider community is something we take seriously. By creating employment, housing, sustainable energy, educational support, amenities and recreational activities, alongside a duty to protect the environment and conserve nature, we aim to enhance the lives of current and future generations.

Our dedicated management team is committed to carrying out habitat conservation and restoration and support sustainable and cleaner energy solutions and to contribute to countering the harmful effects of climate change.

We work closely with government agencies to comply with regulations, and Seafield and Strathspey Estates were recognised by Wildlife Estates, a European initiative to establish a network of exemplary estates showcasing principles of good management and conservation, following the EU Natura 2000 directive. Our woodlands have been managed to Forest Stewardship Council Principles and criteria through the UK Woodland Assurance Standard since 2000.

We are also passionate about putting something back into society and educating schoolchildren about rural businesses and the importance of protecting the environment.
